The Invasion of the Fedoras

Written By: Catherine  McGuire

In conclusion, my husband and I overheard a young couple the other day ( a male and female fedora) say:  “ I can’t believe we are in Montauk.  We are so lucky.”  I couldn’t have said it better myself.  My only request to all those who visit, whether they are wearing fedoras, baseball caps, or bandanas is to please respect this piece of paradise and the people who live and work here.  Keep Montauk beautiful so your children and their children can come breathe the sea air, swim in the clean water, hear the song of the birds, and simply be in a place where everyone is welcome to enjoy the view.
